Product Details

This ring combines the classic Josephine’s knot with what may appear to be a very modern geometric detail, but is actually a Celtic key Pattern derived from the 9th century Irish manuscript, the Book of MacDurnan. Máel Brigte MacDurnan was abbot of Armagh in the year 888 AD. The medieval manuscript bearing his name was commissioned by him in the late 9th century in the classic Insular/Celtic style. The abbot and his book are the only surviving references to the name MacDurnan.

This ring is 9mm wide.
